Benefits of Membership

We provide many services to full members including insurance, honey extractor hire, comprehensive bee book library, and affiliated membership to the FIBKA. For normal membership this includes a subscription to An Beachaire magazine and public liability insurance.

We support beginners in getting started in the craft with our beginners classes every year, theory and practical. We also run a ‘bee-buddy’ program and can supply beginners with a nucleus colony to get started at very favorable rates.

We run frequent lectures on topics of interest to members. For instance we have had lectures on preparing for honey shows, medicinal benefits of honey and hive products, pollination and of course all aspects of beekeeping.

The current standard annual subscription is €60 (about the price of 6 jars of honey), and offers you:-
